| Recently, children’s safety in holidays has been one of the hot public topics that attract people’s attention. How to ensure overall development of children, including physical and mental health, is a major issue related to social survival and development of the country. Holidays, especially in winter and summer, have become peak seasons for various types of security incidents. Although education management at all levels has developed a comprehensive regulations and certain achievements have been made in practice, the lack of systematic arrangement and existence of blind spots in security bring challenges in children custody, especially for children stay-at-home. Based on a survey, we summarize the children security issues in Haimen, and present the main factors and underlying factors that may affect children’s safety. Also, we propose practical approach and countermeasures for children security management combined with advanced experiences from abroad and specific situations in Haimen. Specifically, we put forward suggestions of building a safe space system in Haimen in order to guarantee children safety in local area and provide a reference for further research in large area in future as well. |
