In2001, the new curriculum reform has started in China. Integrated andharmonious development has been promoted under the three-dimensional objectswhich mean knowledge object, ability object and emotional object. The basic purposeof English classroom teaching in junior middle school is cultivating the basiclanguage skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing). With the rapid developmentof education, the study on effective classroom teaching behavior of an English teacherin junior middle school is necessary because classroom teaching in junior middleschool plays an important role in compulsory education stage.This paper attempts to use methods of literature study and classroom observation,and questionnaire. Based the features of effective classroom teaching behavior ofjunior English teacher, this paper analyses various behavioral problems existing inclassroom teaching and provides some strategies to enhance the efficiency ofclassroom teaching.This paper is divided into the following seven parts:The first part is an introduction, which includes not only the background,purpose, significance, design and review of the study, but also statements of relevantconcepts and theoretical bases.The second part analyses factors of classroom teaching behavior of the Englishteacher, which cover teacher factors, student factors and education influence factors.The third part is taking three junior middle schools in Santai county of Sichuanprovince as the research object and using method of classroom observation andquestionnaire respectively from the quality and quantity for study. The fourth part analyses classroom teaching behavioral problems of Englishteacher in junior middle school based on the third part.The fifth part summarizes the features of effective classroom teaching behaviorof the junior English teacher according to differences between English teaching andthe teaching of other disciplines.The sixth part combined with the features of effective classroom teachingbehavior of the junior English teacher, points out the overall strategies and specificstrategies to optimize the classroom teaching behavior of English teachers in juniormiddle school.The seventh part is the last part of this study, presents the conclusion and outlookof the current classroom teaching behaviors of the English teacher in junior middleschool.
