The main aim of English classroom teaching in junior middle schools is to train the students'ability of using English and promote students'all-round development. To fulfill this aim, English teachers should optimize their classroom teaching behavior and teach effectively. The new round Curriculum reform brings new educational philosophy. The students'principle status are being concerned. Great changes have taken place in teachers'classroom teaching behavior and students'classroom learning styles. As an international metropolis, English teaching in junior middle schools is also very important in Shanghai. Therefore, this study has great significance by taking shanghai as an example.Teachers'teaching behavior effects the teaching results directly. And teachers'teaching behavior is observable and changeable. There is ineffective and frustrating behavior in the current English classroom teaching. Therefore, it's necessary and feasible to study on this field. The teaching behavior in this study is mainly about exposition, conversation and instruction. The main research methods are document review, questionnaire survey and classroom observation. The aim of this study is to propose strategies for the problems of the current English classroom teaching behabior in junior middle school.The thesis is composed of four parts mainly:Partâ… : Introduction. This part mainly analyses the correlative research at home and abroad, introduce the current research about the English teachers'teaching behavior and define the conceptions. The aim is to lay a theory foundation to the whole study.Partâ…¡: The comprehension on English teachers'effective classroom teaching behavior in junior middle school. On the base of the teaching aims, characteristics of teaching hehavior and the actuality of the junior middle school students'study behavior in English class, this thesis gets four main characteristics of effective classroom teaching behavior.Partâ…¢: The current English teachers'classroom teaching behavior analyses. Demonstration is the main research method. Questionnaire survey to junior middle school students is to know more about teachers'classroom teaching behavior. FIAC is another method to analysis English teachers'classroom teaching behavior in quantization. All of these researches are to find the insufficiencies in the current English classroom teaching behavior in junior middle school.Partâ…£: The thesis proposes the strategies on how to improve English teachers'classroom teaching behaviors. There are altogether there general strategies and six specific strategies.
