There is a positive significance in promoting postgraduate’s time eff-iciency with researching on the postgraduate’s spare time management.The postgraduate’s spare time management refers to the psychologicaland behavioral characteristics of student’s planning, arrangement,using,and monitoring the spare time, including three dimensions:Conscious-ness of time management, supervisory control of time management,eff-iciency of time management.Been used the revised " Questionnaire ofpostgraduate student after-school time management "on four universit-y full-time postgraduate surveys and interviews,we found that:Postgr-aduate’s time is very abundant, the spare time management is betweenmoderate and satisfactory, that means postgraduate’s time managementability in general, time management ability from high to low can bedivided into consciousness of time management, efficiency of time-management and supervisory control of time management in file Postg-raduate student’s spare time management ability in general, from thesubjective point of view, it is because the postgraduate’s attitude onthe spare time management, personality differences, lacking of long-term goals with the self-control of spare time management and theweakness of the spare time management; from the objective point ofview, it is because the school is insufficient in postgraduate’s sparetime management ability, teacher is weak in training postgraduate’s spare time management ability, faculty is lacking of teaching postgrad-uate’s after-school time management, and the researcher’s discuss inpostgraduate’s spare time management ability are lagging.Improvingthe postgraduate’s spare time management ability not only needs subje-ctive efforts, but also needs the objectively help. The former includes: postgraduate should have long-term goals, develop a good attitude,enhance interference ability, grasp the time division "four quadrant"method, to understand their own temperament; the latter includes:colleges and universities should offer courses for postgraduate students, create an effective use of spare time cultural atmosphere with after-school time, increase the hardware facilities, desalination educationalutilitarian tendency, hire specialized teachers in time managementeducation, schools should really in-depth understanding of postgradua-te’s needs in spare time and propose the strategy, the tutor should beattention and guide the postgraduates with their after-school timemanagement, and increase the scientific research in time management.
