Classroom question is a teaching form or method in which teachers set a series of questionsand ask for answers. The questions are based on teaching contents, objectives and requirements.So classroom question is an important component of the whole teaching. To some extent, thesuccess or failure of classroom teaching is determined by the application of classroom questions.On one hand, classroom questions promote not only the activation between teachers andstudents, but also student’s interest in learning. It can test the learning of the students. What’smore, it can build a more real language acquisition environment. Students can gain more targetlanguage input through classroom questions. That is good for the cultivation of student’scommunicative competence and thinking abilities.The starting point of this paper is the subject characteristics and teaching content of TCFL.According to the real situations of Chinese teaching in Cambodia and the writer’s workingexperiences at Kratie Chinese School, the paper make a theoretical analysis of a series ofquestions through transcribed recordings and questionnaire. It mainly studied the types,allocations, amount, functions and tactics of classroom questioning. Based on the above study,the paper discussed classroom question’s shortcomings of teaching Chinese in Cambodia andoffers countermeasure. I hope my paper can provide reference to the vast Chinese teachers andresearchers of Chinese teaching.Chapter one is introduction. It mainly expounds the purpose and significance of the topicand sums up the document in this field. Chapter two is the theoretical support of this paper. Itmainly introduces some related concepts and classification standards of classroom questions.This chapter also provides an overview introduction of Krashen’s Input Hypothesis and Long’sDiscourses Interaction Hypothesis. Chapter three is the overall design of the research programs.It mainly explained the subject of the investigation, the source of corpus, research methods andthe main content of the study. Chapter four is the core content of my paper. It is about thetranscription and analysis of classroom recording. There is a form to analysis the amount ofquestions, the overall uses and the uses on different circumstances of reference questions anddisplay questions together with the answer modes. Chapter five is a questionnaire about classroom questions. Chapter six made a conclusion to the survey.
