Sports schools are adhering to train outstanding sports talents reserve, to meetthe demand of society and create the training sports skill projects of intermediate levelfor sports talents. However, with the time goes by and the development of society,sports schools are more emphasis on training skills for athletes and graduallyneglected the social demand for professional sports talents cultivation, this isdeviating far away from the original founder intention of the sports school. Withincreasing of the world sports competitive level, cultivating excellent athletes to havea certain competitive ability is also gradually increasing difficult, in addition, with theimprovement of people’s living standard, the social demand for the comprehensivequality of physical educators has become more and more. In this situation, the sportsschools had formed the "strengthen skills, weaken culture" development concept willalso face with rigorous challenges. How to solve the difficulties of development thesesports schools is also the priority among priorities in recent years of physicaleducators. In fact, the solving key lays in the attitude of the sports schools to thecultural teaching and countermeasures. In this research, has brought the currentsituation of cultural teaching in sports schools in Jilin Province as the research object,from the three aspects of schools’ sports cultural teachers, students and specialcoaches, to conduct the research of current situation of cultural teaching in sportsschools.This research methods used are: document literature, observation, questionnaire,interview, data statistics and logical analysis methods. By using these methods toconduct the investigation with the Jilin province sports schools’ running objectives,teaching facilities, curriculum and culture class teachers, coaches and students’ thatlearning in special class culture---and carries on the discussion and the research to theproblems.The results show that: 1. Sports schools’ teaching objectives emphasis too much on sports, andweaken the learning of culture.2. In Jilin Province, some sports schools’ dynamic planning is not enough, andhave poor learning conditions.3. Different regions of the sports schools have difference in cultural trainingmodel, no unified regulations.4. Training time arrangement is not reasonable, students training time is long,cultural course learning time is short, and has poor effectiveness of cultural learning.5. Culture class teachers’ satisfaction to their salary trending decreased, impactto the positive teaching of teachers.6. Many coaches’ education level and the cultural level are unconformity; makethe athletes in the cultural learning can not the correct guidance.
