The sports game is one of the branches of the game,the sports game is the human body basic life and the work skill union,through the body practice,plays the promoter action to the physical and mental health,is carries on has the educational game activity in the rule.Because sports games combine the development of physical strength and intelligence,and have various forms of organization and rich contents,they are one of the important teaching methods in Physical Education;Sports Games are interesting,flexible and competitive,it is beneficial to arouse students’ interest in PE class,promote students’ participation in extra-curricular exercises,apply sports games scientifically and rationally to college PE teaching,make students’ physical function strengthen continuously and perfect students’ will quality.This study investigated 6 colleges and universities in Jilin Province,including 60 college PE teachers and 1200 college PE students,by using the methods of literature,questionnaire and mathematical analysis,this paper makes an investigation on the application of sports games in college physical education in Jilin Province,this paper summarizes the problems existing in the application of sports games in college physical education in Jilin Province,and then analyzes and discusses the relevant countermeasures and suggestions.The results show that: 1.Some college PE teachers in Jilin Province have few reserve games,low frequency of creating and compiling sports games and low level of scientific research on sports games.2.The problems arising from the implementation of sports games by some college PE teachers in Jilin Province include: the PE Teachers’ one-sided cognition of the purpose of sports games application,and their single cognition of the principles of Sports Games application,the frequency of the use of sports games is low,the Organization of teachers is too unitary,and the teachers lack the evaluation after the use of sports games.3.In the teaching of colleges and universities in Jilin Province,attention is paid to the subject education,while the importance of college physical education is ignored.Moreover,the number of college physical education students is relatively large,resulting in the number of physical education teaching venues and equipment in some colleges and universities can not meet the needs of teaching,implementation of restricting sports games in college physical education teaching.4.In some universities of Jilin Province,people in charge of physical education do not pay enough attention to sports games,organize sports games training and purchase sports games textbooks.5.College students in Jilin Province do not have enough understanding of the concept and characteristics of sports games,and have one-sided understanding of the role of sports games.There are significant differences between male and female students in the degree of Liking Sports Games,female students have a low liking for sports games.According to the actual situation of college physical education in Jilin Province,this paper puts forward some suggestions on the problems in the research.1.Improve the self-study ability of PE teachers,increase the amount of reserve of sports games,improve the efficiency of sports games creation and arrangement,and improve the level of sports games scientific research.2.To enrich PE teachers’ cognitive level of PE Games,to improve the importance of PE Games in PE teaching,to optimize the application time and structure of PE Games in p E class,the organization form of Sports Games should be updated in time,the sports teachers should evaluate in time after using sports games and keep close contact with students so that sports games can be developed step by step in college sports classes.3.It is necessary to set up more facilities for sports games,make full use of the open space in the school to organize the teaching of sports games,arrange the time of sports classes reasonably,adjust the time when sports facilities are used more,and improve the situation of insufficient facilities.4.In order to promote the healthy development of sports games in College Physical Education,the leaders of school physical education should pay more attention to it,increase the opportunities for PE teachers to study and train,order or compile relevant reference materials such as sports games teaching materials,etc.5.Colleges and universities regularly organize activities related to sports games,mobilize the enthusiasm of students,to promote the connotation of sports games for college students,the main features and rich and diverse functions.Design different forms of sports games for different gender students,improve students’ interest in sports and cultivate students’ idea of life-long sports.
