With improving of the social democratization, the education executive power has been decentralized to the lower levels gradually. At the same time, parents’participation in school management has been put on the agenda. What the educators and administrators are facing now is how we can strengthen cooperation between schools and families to find the best way of making the education union play the biggest role.Beginning with the questionnaire survey, this paper deals with the following three aspects:cognition, practice and effects, system construction. In30non-randomly chosen schools of Leshan, Sichuan Province, teachers and parents were investigated. By contrasting the data of the survey, the author found out the problems which still exist in the process of parents’ participation, summarized the reasons leading to those problems and came up with some solutions and strategies.The essay also shows that the investigation not only can show us the present education state and problems in Leshan but also can play an important role in nationwide research, which is of great value and can help us to find better ways to improve the management strategies.
