Research On The Implementation Of Environmental Education Policy In Guangdong Province

Environment is the foundation of human being’s life and development. Therefore, environmental problems correlate closely to public welfare, social stability, and our nation’s future. It has been more than30years since reform and opening-up, during this period of time, the economy experienced a rapid development. However, many places have already approached the critical point regarding environmental capacity. In the strategic deployment of constructing ecological civilization made by CPC and Chinese government, the goal of building beautiful China is proposed, which highlights the strong will and determination of environmental improvement. So, environmental education has become a significant means for reversing the deterioration of environment, enhancing environmental consciousness of the whole people, and constructing blue sky, green land, clean water and beautiful home. Guangdong Province is in the forefront of environmental education. After10years’ exploration, Guangdong has achieved remarkable results, yet there are a lot of problems in the implementation of environmental education policies.Applying the literature research method and survey method, this paper analyze the implementation status of Guangdong Province environmental education policies, collate the existing ones and reasons for the problems, and learn from the successful experience at home and abroad. Meanwhile, based on the process model of Smith’s policies execution, the ideas of improving the policies system, prompting execution power of policies implementation agencies, diversifying the participation of the policies’target groups, and optimizing the environment for its implementation are raised, hoping to improve Guangdong provincial environmental education policies implementation, and promote its development.
