Human beings have been encountering environmental issues in the 21 st century. It becomes extremely urgent to solve them since it is threatening our lives. As the leaders of teenagers, we teachers have full responsibility to enable students'to be environmental friendly and raise their awareness of environmental protection, so that they can better persist the sustainable development. Therefore, it is to explore methods to integrate environmental education into routine work that has become one of the issues in scientific research.In this thesis, the author analyses the shortcomings in the environmental education development in China. Also, she focuses on such teaching principles as carrying on the environmental education to enable the sustainable development. In daily biological teaching practice, the author posed an experimental research by sample comparison between two classes in Dalian Information High School. On the basis of the analysis and conclusion of the current biological textbooks, the author tried to integrate the environmental education into biological teaching by means of presentation, discussion, experimentation and exploration, as well as various lectures. On comparison, students are helped the developed the concept of the sustainable development and modifying their environmental behaviors, through various teaching models. Students are motivated to learn biology in activities of exploration learning—teaching interaction, research and social surveying. They have developed the spirit of teamwork and exploration, which greatly contribute to the all—round development. In addition, such an outcome will advance the carrying out and the reform of the new biological teaching curriculum. However, students do not show enough enthusiasm in the environmental education because of the pressure in the exam—orientated education, which calls for the concerns of various social circles. Teachers from high schools should also pay attention to their own development so that they can be qualified for higher—leveled teaching.
