The development of higher vocational education makes the jobs for employment ofgraduates more and more important, and it’s of great significance to have related jobsdone. However, the result of employment of graduates is not so satisfying so far; as themajor practitioner of employment work in vocational colleges, departments still haveroom for improvement in their work. Therefore, it’s necessary to build up a performanceevaluation model for employment work in departments of vocational colleges, so as toevaluate how well the jobs have been done, find out problems for departments, promptthem to raise the standard of employment work, and improve employment performanceand quality of employment of graduate.The thesis conducts study and analysis by taking the example of ZS Polytechnic,consisting of5chapters. The first chapter is the introduction to the paper, briefing theresearch significance, contents, research status and theories and methods of the paper,laying a foundation for building up evaluation model of the next step; chapter2analyzes general situations of the employment of graduates from vocational collegesand problems in the jobs of their employment, stressing the necessity of setting up areasonable performance evaluation model for employment-promoting jobs, and raisingrequirements as to the evaluation model: the model built up should be conducive tosolving the problems; chapter3, based on analyzing the feasibility of introducingbalanced score card, offers thinking from four dimensions: finance, customer, internalbusiness, and innovation and learning, selects the key performance indicators forperformance evaluation, and set up evaluation model through analytic hierarchy process;chapter4analyzes the result of evaluation through model application to ZS vocationalcollege, and raises pertinent suggestions for employment work; chapter5offerssummary and outlook as to the paper, concludes the paper and points out the directionfor further improvement of the model.The paper mainly achieves the following results: detailed analysis of generalsituations of employment of graduates from vocational colleges, as well as problems inemployment-promoting jobs; discussion of functions of all employment work;enrichment of the content of employment work; based on these, according to themission of employment-promoting jobs and target strategy, the balanced score card is applied and key performance indicators was selected to build up a performanceevaluation model for employment work in departments of vocational colleges byutilizing analytic hierarchy process. The selection of evaluation indicators, with areasonable number of them and high pertinence, can well help with finding theproblems in jobs of departments and improve the quality of employment work; theevaluation model is easy to handle and able to offer comprehensive evaluation of theperformance of employment work, thus featuring certain significance for reference.
