Nowdays, the socialization of production requirements of society for talentsdemand is rapid transition towards a full range, multiple skill. The modern educationput forward higher requirements, the modernization of education inevitably requestfor the education technology. Therefore, with the development of informationtechnology, multimedia teaching technology will emerge as the times require andhas become an important part of educational technology. At present, the each subjectin Colleges and universities generally adopted this new form of teaching, teachersare faced with the problem of implementing innovation teaching mode based onmultimedia technology in classroom teaching. As the tourism discipline itself has astrong dynamic systems, content involves a wide range, variety, and constantlychanging characteristics, which requires the combination of multimedia teachingtechnology and tourism discipline must grasp the characteristics of tourismdiscipline, outstanding practical, efficient, otherwise, general because the multimediaand multimedia will play to compete, the high effect. So, we should firmly grasp thedevelopment situation and current developing situation of tourism subject, take themultimedia teaching technology, advanced teaching technology is expected as ameans of achieving good teaching effect, is not blind application of instructionaltechnology. In addition, we must understand the application of multimediatechnology, development and trend of multimedia and its basic operation andperformance on the basis of. So as to make the multimedia technology to better servethe tourism teaching our work.In this paper, using the literature method, comparative method, from thetheories of multimedia technology as a starting point, expounds the advantages anddisadvantages of subject characteristics of tourism science and multimedia intourism subject, systematically discusses the present situation and problems oftourism discipline in multimedia application, and then puts forward somesuggestions to solve the application of multimedia technology in the tourismdiscipline problems, questionnaire survey and the specific explanation.
