Research On College Students’ Environmental Awareness Training In The Background Of Low-carbon Economy

With the high development of economy and aggravation of urban population, as theworld entered into a new century, a series of environmental problems cropped up in people’searth home because of the intemperate demand of social production to nature. Human whosesurvival and development cannot be separated from nature, must increase importance of low-carbon life facing the deteriorating ecological environment. Many countries improveawareness for environment precaution with joining the low-carbon environmental project andenhancing the education and training of people’s low-carbon environmental awareness, andpromote the harmony, health and sustainable development between people and society assame as people and nature. For a developing country like China, however, college studentstake on the responsibility of building socialist cause with the acceleration of higher education,then improving their awareness for low-carbon environmental protection cannot promote theall-round development but also determine the direction for future social development. Chinais vigorously promoting sustainable construction strategy and building the socialismharmonious society diligently at present, so scholars in China study the training for theawareness of low-carbon environmental protection as an important subject for research in thenew era. The research on low-carbon environmental protection awareness education ofuniversity students, which promote the future improvement of China’s higher education andthe reform of education system, has significance on theory and practice under the backgroundof low-carbon economy. Ultimately the awareness will penetrate into every aspect of societyand promote the development of green economy and healthy economy from the collegestudents.The article put forward research hypothesis, designed and issued1000questionnairesbased on the relative literatures, and then used linear regression to analyze the presentsituation and summarized the problems and reasons of college students’ environmentalawareness training. Finally, proposed countermeasures and suggestions for college students’environmental awareness training under the low-carbon economy according to previouslystudies.
