Between “Conserving energy and reducing emission to develop green andprotective low-carbon economy” and “stimulating consumption to let national economygo ahead quickly”, there are some opposite and unitary stripes. Opposition reflected inthat high consumption usually result in high wasting and high emission, so how toreduce energy consumption when consuming is stimulated. And unification reflected inthat leading economy to develop is their common purpose, China’s economy outlet isour growing low-carbon economy.This paper is determined on the evolution of Chinese consumer culture,summarizes the author’s study background, study meaning and study purpose, at thesame time, explains factors of influence and the development history of consumerculture and tries to mediate opposition and unification between low-carbon economywith consumer culture trough analyzing their contradiction in order to provide feasiblesuggests for our country’s development of low-carbon economy.
