The research university shoulder the important responsibility in the enhancingnational capacity for independent innovation, constructing an innovative county, andthe level of the teachers is to decide a research university competitive actual strengthand development level of the core elements. Compared with other teachers, theresearch university teachers are very different: diversification of responsibilities, theassessment is difficult to quantify with high achievement motivation. Empiricalinvestigation of the psychological contract research university teachers, the paper hasreached the following conclusions: First of all, research university teachers generallypay more attention to the psychological contract between the school and, they hope thatschool leaders aware of the psychological contract and actively implement. Amongthem, the performance evaluation this one of the most affected by the teacher’sattention, that is to say research university teachers hope that a manager can make fairand reasonable evaluation criteria, and fair implementation. Secondly, the empiricalstudy of the content of psychological contract shows that demographic variables havegreat influence on psychological contract. Once again, the empirical study ofpsychological contract violation shows that there are lots of problems in theuniversity’s management, such as the promotion of teachers, career development,autonomy, welfare, performance appraisal, and appointment. These problems alsochange with demographic factors. With these problems, the university leaders shouldrecognize the importance of the psychological contract, to grasp the psychologicaldynamic of the research university teachers prepare for the good performance of thepsychological contract; managers in the managements process should to be effectiveimplementation of the various aspects of the psychological contract with teachers, toenhance the implementation efforts; managers to pay attention to the diversification ofthe teachers in the management process, to use a wide range of perspective to fulfill thepsychological contract with the teachers.
