Vocational education development quickly, it brings vocational school teachers more chance and more pressure. However, the existing vocational school teachers work stress scales have more problems. The measuring objects focus on higher vocational colleges and with fewer subjects. In addition, no comprehensive system tool has been developed to test it. This research intends to compile a standardized and scientific survey system to investigate the secondary and higher vocational college teachers’occupational stress, and then analysis the main sources of working pressure.Based on the references datum both at home and abroad, through depth interviews of vocational school teachers, preliminary test and formal test, compile a scale for occupational stressors on vocational school teachers. The scale includes42items, the statistical test shows:1. Item discrimination:through project analysis/correlation analysis between project and total score/distribution analysis, the scale which demonstrates sound discrimination.2. Scale reliability:The internal reliability of the scale and subtests accords with the requirement of psychometrics (Cronbach α=0.9503, subtests’ Cronbach a=0.7148~0.8215)3. Scale validity:(1) Content validity:this study search a large number of references datum both at home and abroad, make depth interviews of vocational school teachers, please psychology experts to validate the questionnaire, meet the psychometric requirements, can be applied.(2) Structure validity: nine factors that have gotten from this research can explain61.291%of total variance, so it can reflect the sources of vocational school teachers’occupational stress. The scale has a higher degree of correlation between total scale and each subscale, has a middle correlation among subscales.(3) Criterion-related validity:LES is used as criterion to check the scale’s validity in this research and the result shows that the criterion is middling correlated validity in this research and the result shows that the criterion is middling correlated with the scale.The application in vocational school teachers:(1) In total scale and career development/working relationship and professional title evaluate subscales, teachers between31~40years of age have more pressure with other age teachers.(2) In professional title evaluate subscale, teachers engaged in the teaching work and teaching and management work have more pressure with management work teachers.(3) In professional title evaluate subscale, teaching work and teaching and management work teachers, age between31~40has more pressure with other age teachers. Management work teachers, age between26~30and41~50has more pressure with age25and below and more than50years old teachers.According to the results which have been discussed in this paper, we put forward some suggestions to reduce the pressure from school/student and government three sides.
