Research On The Relationship Between Self-esteem, Alienation Of College Students' Network Status And Bullying

Bullying is a kind of common and negative behavior in the real world. It brings continuously and repeatedly damage to others by direct bullying of language and body, as well as indirect ways of exclusionary relationships. This traditional form of bullying has changed quietly along with the development and popularization of network and other modern science and technology. People can experience the high speed and convenience that the network brings, but also suffer from a new form of cyber bullying.Cyber bullying is a kind of behavior that brings psychological shadows to others by insulting words, cheat and exclusion in the virtual network. Likewise, cyber bullying can be divided into direct and indirect network bullying as per the character of implementation.This study is composed of four parts.The first part has expounded domestic and overseas development of researches about traditional bullying and cyber bullying. Also, it has summarized the results of researches about self-respect and sense of alienation, and extracted theoretical research among cyber bullying, self-respect and alienation, at the same time, the status quo of this field and the existing problems has been analyzed.In the second part, researches and investigations had been made on the basis of relevant articles, I had preliminarily obtained the structure model of the cyber bullying in college students. and a new questionnaire about cyber bullying in college students had been raised. In the third part, bringing in demographic variables among gender, grade and major, together with my own questionnaire, I analyzed the current characteristics of cyber bullying about present college students.In the fourth part, results from the questionnaire. I analyzed the relationships among cyber bullying, self-respect and alienation, and researched the mediate function of self-respect had played between cyber bullying and alienation. Here come the main conclusions:(1)Self-raised questionnaire about cyber bullying in college students includes direct and indirect aspects. It gets good reliability and validity. (2) Cyber bullying in college students mainly shows in direct way. Bringing in demographic variables among gender, grade and major, I found that cyber bullying gets significant differences in gender and major, but slight differences showed in grade.(3)Positive correlation had been showed between alienation and cyber bullying, which indicates that higher alienation brings higher levels of cyber bullying in college students.(4) Negative correlations had been showed between self-pride and cyber bullying, which indicates that higher self-respect brings lower level of cyber bullying in college students(5) Self-respect had played mediate function between alienation and cyber bullying in college students.
