The network has become an indispensable media to junior middle school students’ learning and life.The phenomenon of cyber bullying is constantly,and the growing trend,which has become the most common risk cyberspace to junior high school students.Also,junior middle school students being bullied in network will cause a lot of direct and long-term adverse consequences for them,such like reducing life satisfaction and so on,thus there is an urgent need of research and prevention.In order to provide an empirical research about network bullying situation of junior high school students.The research combines network being bullied and life satisfaction,self-pity and resilience in the network being bullied and the mechanism of action between life satisfaction to build the relationship model between the four variables.And then,to provide the basis and reference for adolescent mental health education practice.Online Bullying Scale(Chinese Revised Version),Life Satisfaction Scale,Self-compassion Scale(Chinese Revised Version)and Psychological Resilience Scale were used to investigate the relationship between online bullying,self-compassion,psychological resilience and life satisfaction among 909 junior middle school students in Shenzhen.The results showed that:(1)The detection rate of cyber bullying was 31%.(2)Online bullying is negatively correlated with self-compassion,psychological resilience,and life satisfaction,and positively correlated with life satisfaction,self-compassion,and psychological resilience.(3)After controlling for irrelevant variables,online bullying can significantly negatively predict life satisfaction.(4)Self-compassion played a partial mediating role in the relationship between cyber bullying and life satisfaction.(5)Psychological resilience moderated the mediating effect of cyber bullying on life satisfaction in the second half of the mediating effect,that is,psychological resilience moderated the relationship between self-compassion and life satisfaction,and the positive relationship between self-compassion and life satisfaction was more obvious in the individuals with low psychological resilience than in the individuals with high psychological resilience.This study examined the relationship between cyber bullying and life satisfaction of junior high school students,and explored the mediating mechanism of self-compassion in the effect of cyber bullying on life satisfaction,as well as the moderating mechanism of resilience.The results of this study are of great significance to improve the mental health level of junior high school students and promote their physical and mental health development. |
