Since professor Schulman put forward the concept of Pedagogical Content Knowledge (PCK), so many scholars gradually associate the PCK with the teacher profession development and teacher educational reform. As an important component of teacher education, Mathematics pre-service teacher education is the core task of normal college teaching works. To be a qualified mathematics teacher, Pedagogical Content Knowledge, PCK, promoting in the teaching is the decisive factor rather than merely mastering the mathematics specialized knowledge.From the domestic and overseas research of pre-service teacher knowledge structure, it can be seen that inadequate material researches were conducted towards the mathematics pre-service teacher PCK in China. Therefore, this thesis conducts the group study and case study for the PCK current situation of mathematics pre-service teacher via the methods of testing, concept diagram, questionnaire, talking and teaching record in a real-time etc. thus, to have the comprehensive and systematic outlook for the PCK knowledge of mathematics pre-service teacher, to strengthen the further cognition of mathematics pre-service teacher PCK situation, and promote its development among the normal colleges.This thesis is divided into six chapters:the chapterl, introduction, provides the research background, research objective, research significance, mentality of design and relevant illustration; the chapter2, literature review, it shows the theoretical basis for the research by carding and summarizing the domestics and overseas literatures relating to the PCK. The chapter3, research findings and analysis of group study of the mathematic pre-service teacher PCK current situation. It conducts a group study and analysis for the four factors of mathematics pre-service teacher PCK via the methods of testing, concept diagram, talking, and questionnaire etc.; the chapter4, case research of the mathematic pre-service teacher PCK current situation. This chapter makes a conclusion of the current development feature of mathematics pre-service teacher PCK through comparing three mathematics pre-service teachers (two undergraduates and one postgraduate) by presenting course videos, teaching flow charts and knowledge structures and making reference of the PCK of an experienced teacher; the chapter5, the conclusions and suggestions of the research. From the group and case study of the mathematics pre-service teacher, this thesis shows that the mathematics pre-service teacher PCK is still at the initial transaction phase. In addition, this thesis combines the questionnaires for the mathematics pre-service teacher internship conducted by their students, explores the main reason for building such situation, and finally gives several suggestions for improving the level of mathematics pre-service PCK; the chapter6, shortage and prospect of the research.
