With the development of the society as well as the progress of the Information Technology, the education of China has entered a new era."The10-year Development Plan for Education Informatization" was, in2012, released, which marks the arrival of information age of education. The education informatization depends on the informatization of school, while the informatization of school is inseparable from the principal’s leadership. The leadership of principal plays an important role in the process of realizing the informatization of education. The purpose of this thesis is to enhance the leadership of principals in the process of education informatization, that is, to promote the technology leadership of them.Starting from the point of view of learning, this thesis designs a certain learning community, through which the president can learn to promote the level of technology leadership of himself. The first step of the learning, for the principal is put himself in a correct position, so the first part of this paper is to determine the role of principal. This part studies the traditional role of principal. Firstly by literature research, the principal’s traditional roles are manager, leaders, example, organizer, curriculum reform advocates, builders of culture, teaching participants and so on. So many roles are mentioned. However, the role as a learner is seldom indicated, almost none. The author believes that, it is not appropriate for the role as a learner, in this age with a rapid development of science and technology, to be absent. Thus this role is proposed and affirmed. And then the importance of the role is discussed to make the principal realize the long-term learning under the concept of lifelong education. Learning materials and content are needed, if the principal wants to promote his technology leadership through learning. Based on this role as a learner, the second part of this thesis is to study the learning content for the principal. There are three bases to determine the learning content:current situation, structure and standard of principal technology leadership. Therefore, a survey is conducted to find out its current situation, and analysis is carried out. Through the literature to analyze the structure of principal technology leadership and differences are compared. The topical standards are selected to be studied for the preparation of determination of the learning content. And then the current status, structure and standard are synthetically studied. Then through comparison, analysis and summarizing, the learning content is preliminary determined. The third part of this thesis is to solve the problem of how to learn. It is, in fact about the learning methods, or called as the learning community design. It divides the outer space of the study into two parts:the real space and virtual space. Through the former, a real learning community is designed, while through the latter, a network learning community. The real learning community is designed from its personnel, grouping way, learning form, and training. The networked learning community is designed from its personnel, design principle, community module, learning mode and learning procedures. The principal should combine the both of them. If so, all the time of the principal’s life is covered. It is benefit for him to utilize the external learning resources to comprehensive promote his technology leadership.
