In the21st century, because knowledge-based economy develops rapidly and international competition is becoming severe, especially creative talents are needed badly in economic and social development. The key to creation and innovation lies in human resources, whose development depends on education. In the new period of development, higher education is an important part of national innovation system, and the key places of comprehensive implementation of quality education and cultivating students’creative spirit and practical ability. Training creative talents is not only the need of promoting agricultural modernization, but also the inevitable choice in cultivating talents for agricultural and forestry universities.Cultivating college students’creativity is an requirement of improving their self-development. It also has great significance to improve comprehensive quality effectively. Cultivating college students’creativity can enhance the ability of using the knowledge and theory into society practise and cultivate the sense of competition. The undergraduates can take participate in social practice to increase social experience and compensate for lack of experience. Creativity helps the students undertake the role-changing from school to society and enter the socialist modernization construction as soon as possible for meeting the needs of the new development. Thus, there was the way leading to a positive circulation of cultivating and improving creativity.Cultivating creativity for undergraduates is based on scientific theory and the needs of realistic society. In terms of theory, it has theoretical basis of interdisciplinary. In reality, it is the needs of extension and advance of general education for current universities, and also can address the issue of college interdisciplinary integration development. More importantly, it promote both teaching and learning for universities and advance students’learning autonomy and innovation.By analysing and referring to the experience and the newest research achievements abroad and Hongkong and Taiwan, based on real background of agriculture-related colleges’ needs, this paper seeks to establish effective countermeasures in theory for cultivating college students’creativity and explains the pattern and proposes some measures to carry out in detail from the policy level, resource hierarchy and operational level. Based on the results of this study, the following conclusions can be reached:To establish and improve the pattern of cultivating students’creativity in agriculture-related colleges in China, we should pay attention to take some effective measures from four aspects, namely setting up modern educational concept, raising creative talents, stimulating the educational resources in campus and establishing a characteristic ability training system---innovation and enterprise education.
