Theory And Practical Research On Carrying Out The Education Of The Socialist Core Values In Colleges And Universities

Socialist core values are the essence of the socialist core value system because theydominate the socialist values and the socialist value system and they are the mostprofound manifestation of the socialist values. With the development of our society, threetheories were put forward at the18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China(CPC), which make the socialist core values clearer. All these point the way to learn andcarry out the socialist core values nowadays. The college students play an important in thedevelopment of our society and they are the future of our society, so it is necessary andimportant for the colleges to educate all the college students about their socialist corevalues and improve their ideological and moral standards when they are at college so thatthey can have a good knowledge of political education and all the values are thefundamental guarantee for the development of college students. And it is the necessity ofthe development of socialist culture and the base for achieving the Chinese dream.However, the colleges are faced with all kinds of problems, such as the ineffectiveness ofideal and belief education,many problems about guiding realistic puzzle, lack of capacityto meet the diverse needs, less classroom teaching approaches and many other issues whenthe colleges carry out the education of the socialist core values. Therefore, from thenational circumstance in China, colleges and universities should not only summarize thesuccessful practical experience of socialist core values of university education but alsofully learn good practices and experiences from foreign colleges in socialist valueseducation. Colleges should further analyze the theory—education should bestudent-oriented education, education should be combined with environment, theoryshould be combined with practice, education should keep up with the times and collegesshould continue to explore a new way and a new form about how to carry out socialistcore values in universities, such as in the classroom, campus network construction,counselors and so on, thus enhancing college students’ ideological and moral quality andcomprehensive capabilities so that they can educate many more good students for thecause of socialism and China will be a more healthy and harmonious society.
