English teaching today is greatly concerned by the society, but because of the lack of real language environment, teachers’ teaching and student’learning are both passive. So under the background of new curriculum reform, the situational teaching is more and more advocated and promoted. Situation teaching is intuitive, scientific and interesting. Situational teaching can cultivate students’ interest in learning, stimulate students’ learning passion, exercise the students’ ability of language at the same time. It can also cultivate the students’ thinking ability and spatial ability.This article first discusses the research history and research status made by the education experts and teachers at home and abroad. Then we put forward our own research goal:to explore the concept of English situational teaching and learning of basic model and basic strategy; On the basis of the investigation, according to the actual situation of students, reform the traditional teaching mode, teaching implementation situation, efforts to create the small situation of English teaching, and tries to build the big campus situation; Improve the teaching quality and teaching level to improve the students’ English comprehensive quality.This paper mainly discusses the situation teaching conditions and the classroom teaching mode. Conditions including the emphasis and difficulty in learning objectives, learning of clear grasp; Teachers of high quality; Students actively participate in, and reasonable use of teaching materials. Classroom teaching models include research type teaching mode, activity type teaching mode, the reality of teaching mode and debate type teaching mode.Situational teaching is paid more attention to study practice. We use different methods to promote the students to get involved in. We design the feasible implementing scheme that is carried out step by step. We do the experiments for the student to carry on the discussion and keep track of them among the students. We modify our project plan and supplement according to the feedback information.We combine research to each section of English learning in the new teaching. We lived on one of the English class records and analysis it deeply. After class we did a questionnaire survey which is from the perspectives of student to find out the advantages and disadvantages of the situation design to help teachers better understand students’ learning psychology and learning status and adjust and improve the situation in the classroom teaching design.Situational teaching mode brought the successful experience to students and enhance their confidence of learning. Also it gave teacher new challenges and motivation. We hope our research makes a line of situational teaching of English so that teachers have a more comprehensive, more profound understanding of it. Thereby it will better optimize our English teaching. |
