Under the new historical background,the update of education concept the further development of education,teaching facilities in rural schools improve gradually.Balanced development in compulsory education is being put forward in the rural Junior high school.how to keep pace with the progress of modern education to narrow the gap between rural students an urban ones is a responsible that is duty bound for teachers in the rural areas.A survey found that the biggest subject difference lies in English between rural students and urban students.To close the gap,we should start from English teaching to improve ability of English.This passage focuses on how to cultivate learners’ abilities and creative spirit,which is based on modern education in theory and guided by teaching strategies that take advantage of information technology reasonably.In this passage,we’ll explain how to carry out situational teaching approach in the English teaching of rural Junior high school,which is aimed to improve students’ English capability and learning interest.During the research,we investigation the date by questionnaire surveys and investigations.This research last two semesters,The first semester is the traditional teaching mode,and the second semester is situational teaching practice.All the students come from a class in Grade 7 in a rural junior high school,which are 35 in total.The teaching practice is the same English teacher to teach,the practice process is to rely on information technology to situational teaching.The research method uses the three aspects of learning attitude,learning effect and academic achievement of students before and after practice,and makes a longitudinal comparative analysis.After a semester of teaching practice,and analysis of the practice data,we can draw a conclusion.We can improve students’ English learning interest and efficiency by making reasonable use of information technology during the teaching process.Students’ professional English knowledge and language competence are enhanced drastically by setting up scenes which are carried out by information technology.The paper includes five parts,the contents are as follows.The first part states the background and significance of the research and attaches importance to the aim content and ways of research.During this part,we briefly summarize the current situation where we apply information technology to English situational teaching.The second part states the theory bases as well as its guiding function.The third part states the survey before the study and the results of the survey were analyzed.The fourth part analyses the possibility of the research,the requirement of teaching design process and assessment.The fifth part,we choose 3 typical case in practice to course playback and analyze.The sixth part summarizes the success and failure in the process of research and put forward the research in the future and the direction of our work.
