| Modern education theories tell us that a successful class not only needs an excellent teacher, but also a good team of capable class cadres. Class cadres, as a bridge between teachers and students, can often determine the whole spirit of the class in terms of their competence, working methods and their prestige among classmates.For each class head teacher, the assistance of class cadres for class management, not only cultivates the class cadres’ organization ability, but also facilitates the teacher’s work. A strong cadre team plays a great role in assisting the teacher to manage the class, and this is particularly important in the class management for secondary vocational school students.This research is a supplement and development for the study of class management, and is in the hope of being a reference for other related studies. In order to understand the current status of the cadres-selection mode in secondary vocational schools in China, we conducted a questionnaire survey and interview among teachers and students from Lushun Radio and TV University and Lushun Vocational and Technical College. Through data collection and sorting, we have a profound understanding of the class cadres’ selection mode in this type of school.The results show that most classes adopt the class cadre appointment method, followed by democratic-election means, with the least usage of turn-taking system. Different selection methods have different advantages and disadvantages. Taking different selection methods appropriately in different stages will greatly enhance class cohesion and improve students’ enthusiasm to participate in the selection activity. Aiming at the problems found in the investigation, a multi-lenses analysis is given. Meanwhile, methods for selecting and cultivating class carders are put forward in terms of the existing main problems. |
