Changing teaching method and learning style is the key to the new curriculum reform,only by that way, the basic concept of the new curriculum could be education practices,vivid and effective. And curriculum resource is the security of teaching method andlearning style. It is said that “you can′t make something out of nothing”. Without thesupport of resources, the best curriculum is also illusions. In some way, the reform ofcurriculum resources and teaching method is a battle, which is both an opportunity and achallenge to the teacher, and making full use of the public library is the point to win.At present, the results and kinds of curriculum resources development are increasinglyrich, but the specialized research on the advantages of Public Libraries in the developmentof high school history curriculum resources is almost no. This is largely due to theteacher′s inadequate of the public library′s functions and development.This research has surveyed the information and service advantage of public librariesthrough on-the-spot investigation and cyber source, and analyzed the problem of thedevelopment on high school history resources, it has combined with the situation that highschool teachers and students use public library recourses insufficiently. Based on that, theresearch describes the importance and necessity of making full use of the public library todevelop high school history curriculum resources. It looks forward to the foreground andadvantage of using public library to develop history curriculum resources by practicalexamples of public library in the development in local history curriculum resources, thehigh school history teaching, high school history research learning and high school historyteachers’ professional development. In order to promote high school teachers and studentsto make full use of public library recourses, it put forward that we should strengthen thecooperation of high school and public library to promote public libraries play a better rolein history teaching in high school. At last, it discusses the problems we need to payattention on developing high school history curriculum resources by public library. Thisresearch is divided into seven parts, including the introduction and conclusion. The mostimportant part of this study is how high school teachers and students use public library todevelop history curriculum resources, it provides us an practical example of ourdevelopment activities. This research is put forth in the hope that it would generate morepublic discussion.
