Perfectionism as a personality and way of thinking, the results of individuallong-term interaction with the external environment in the process of growing is arelatively stable characteristics of individuals in the different scenarios shown. Thispursuit of the perfect qualities in excellent qualified people, such as high schoolstudents, college students, graduate students, businesses, excellent staff, civil servants,is more prominent.As a distinct group of sports students, and less concern by the researchers,therefore, to carry out the psychological tendency of perfectionism in sports majors,and to explore its impact on mental health, right at this stage sports professionalmental health education is very necessary the. In this study, on the basis of existingresearch results, the relative lack of sports science students with mental healthRelations actual, this study selected sports students of Hunan Province, severalcolleges and universities for the study, carried out basic information,"Chinese FrostMultidimensional Perfectionism Scale and the Mental Health Scale of SCL-90scaletesting, use SPSS16.0statistical analysis software for descriptive statistics of the data,analysis of variance, correlation analysis, regression analysis to explore the sportsmajors characteristics of the development of the psychological tendencies ofperfectionism, and mental health, the following conclusions:(1) Perfectionism psychological tendencies of the sports students at the middlelevel, and mental health status in the mid to upper level.(2) Boys and girls sports professional mental health conditions. Girls in fear ofmistakes and personal standards stronger than the boys and the concept of more boysthan girls, more rationality and action doubts.(3) The overall level of psychological tendencies of the one-child than non-onlychild of a perfectionist, there are significant differences; one child better than themental health of the overall level of non-one-child, but the difference was notsignificant.(4) Perfectionism psychological tendencies of the sports students showing anincreasing trend with the growth of grade, higher grades, the higher the pursuit ofperfectionist expectations; different grades of PE Majors in the mental health ofsomatization, forced there were significant differences on symptoms, depression, paranoia, hostility and terror factor(5) Students from the city’s sports perfectionism psychological tendencies thanprofessional sports students from rural areas is low, their mental health than fromrural sports students.(6) Physical Education Students in different family income perfectionistpsychological tendency to significant difference, but only there were significantdifferences in the mental health of the four dimensions of somatization, anxiety,psychosis and hostility.(7) Physical Education Students in perfectionism score and mental health score,there was significant correlation between the perfectionist active sports majors, theirmental health symptoms than the perfectionist negative sports majors.(8) Physical Education Students in some dimensions of perfectionism predictsome dimensions of mental health.
