| This paper research in the phenomenon of the high school students’mathematics ability " degradation ". The paper mainly research two kinds of "degradation", which include the positive " degradation " and the negative " degradation ". We give some high school students in different age and different grades a mathematical ability test by the questionnaire survey to know the present situation of Chinese high school students’ mathematical ability "degradation". Through the analysis of the survey results, this paper puts forward in the reasons of the high school students’ mathematical ability "degradation". According to the survey results, we give recognition to the degradation " which has positive signification and find out its success experience. This paper take out the teaching and learning methods that is good at the students’ constructing knowledge and developing ability, combining with the related theory of psychology.The results show that:1The high school students’mathematical ability in calculation, finding problems, analysis and solving problems has the phenomenon of "degradation". One kind of the "degradation" is the positive "degradation", which is caused by the technological innovation in mathematics, another kind of the "degradation" is the negative "degradation", which is caused by the subjective and objective causes.2The negative "degenerate" is mainly caused by the objective factors and subjective factors. The objective factors include the temperament, personality and individual difference. The subjective factors include the curriculum, teaching and learning methods and assessment methods.3The new curriculum reform has played a very positive role in inhibiting the high school students’ negative "degeneration" in mathematics abilities. But some mathematical abilities still have the phenomenon of "degeneration" in the high school of our country at the present stage. So it is necessary to improve the new curriculum reform by appropriate methods.Aiming at the reason of "degradation", this paper put forward the following countermeasures: 1In the teaching strategies, the attention should be paid to the learning situation analysis, designing a variety of teaching methods, cultivating the interest in learning, designing learning content which is similar to the application situation, using the teaching tact reasonably, designing comparative practice which have contact with the knowledge before and after, to avoid the "Degradation" which is cause by mind-set, negative transfer and retroactive inhibition.2In the teaching material design, the teaching material should contact with the actual life, advanced science and technology, the knowledge before and after. The practice should be comprehensive and practical. The arrangement of the teaching material should be scientific, reasonable, structured, integrated and networking.3In the assessment, we should pay attention to use a variety of evaluation methods. We should emphasize on the mathematical ability which is easy to "degenerate". Evaluation mode should be comprehensive. We should not only pay attention to the result of the assessment, and should pay attention to evaluate the learning attitude and the level of the mathematical ability. |
