The composition teaching occupy an important position in Chinese language teaching,however the effect of the composition teaching are unsatisfactory. One important reasonis that the arrangement of sequence about composition plate in current language teachingmaterials is not perfect. The article carries out detailed analysis and conclusion of thearrangement of sequence about composition plate in current language teaching materialsof People’s Education Press and Beijing Normal University Press. The author Compares thesimilarities and differences of the two sets of language teaching materials about thearrangement of sequence about composition plate, finds that there are three commonpoints in the two sets of language teaching materials which combine composition, oralcommunication and integrated learning, integrate composition plate and reading segment,use a large amount of essay reference. At same time, the two sets of language teachingmaterials has differences in the arrangement of sequence about theme sequence, stylisticsequence, composition knowledge sequence and the reference sequence. The root cause ofthese differences is that PEP composition plate adopts content-oriented choreographysequence and Beijing Normal University textbooks composition plate adoptsmethod-oriented choreography sequence. These choreography sequences has own advantage,the content-oriented choreography sequence is likely to arouse the enthusiasm of thejunior high school students learning of writing and the method-oriented choreographysequence can make composition exercises of junior high school students more operationaland effective by systematic guidance. However, the two choreography sequences also havetheir shortcoming. Then author combines the psychological characteristics of junior high school students, the taxonomy of knowledge,"multiple transformation law " and "the lawof spiral" to analyze the pros and cons of the arrangement of sequence about compositionplate in the two sets of language teaching materials and tries to give further improvement.The author hopes that this study can contribute to the improvement of the arrangementof sequence about composition plate in the junior high school language teaching materials.It is a reconstruction of the composition plate to put these proposals together. Eachunit of composition plate should adopt content-oriented theme sequence which is moreattuned to the real life of the junior high school students and can lead to junior highschool students’ participating interest. The themes should have inner association orlogical association. Each unit present much background information and detailedguidance related to the theme for junior high school students. Also each unit shouldincrease the proportion of applied stylistic practice.
