Schools are important places where we can spread and carry forward Chinese martial arts.What’s more, development of martial arts always is paid high attention by educationaldepartment. However, affected by many kinds of factors, martial arts’ promotion in schools isunsatisfactory, and it experiences not only boom, but also bust many times. Martial arts inschools are at a low ebb and in difficult position at present. while martial arts teaching in schoolsis in a slump, Pinghe primary school in Jinzhou city keeps a foothold on Wushu teaching andimproves its education capacity greatly.This thesis takes teaching character of martial arts in Pinghe primary school in Jinzhou city asresearch object through methods of literature, interviews, case analysis and logical analysis. Thisthesis investigates Wushu teaching from Pinghe primary school’s introductions, developmentprocess, formation of Wushu teaching and protection of wushu teaching characters.Conclusions are as followings:1. The development of Pinghe primary school’s physicaleducation can be divided into three stages: entrance of the track and field, ball games; entranceof wushu; stage of diversification driven by Wushu unique features.2. The characters of Pingheprimary school in Jinzhou city are: wushu teaching is highlighted in classes; wushu teachingduring big break; martial arts training is highlighted in spare-time sports activities; out of school,students spare no efforts to embody their Wushu skills.3. The development process of wushuteaching in Pinghe primary school are: spare-time training in which Wushu features make its firstappearance; school-based course in which Wushu features develop well; sunshine program of“5+2” makes Wushu features popular in schools; lifelong sports makes Wushu be in theascendant.4. In order to maintain and carry forward characters of wushu teaching in Pingheprimary school, firstly, it should maintain the combination pattern betweenextracurricular-training teaching-class-Extracurricular competition and performance. Secondly,it should reinforce culture of Wushu teachers. Thirdly, it should remain the existing talent teamconstruction of Wushu team in Pinghe primary school in Jinzhou city. Finally, it must preservethe supporting from Pinghe primary school leaders and parents.According to the conclusions, suggestions are proposed out.1. In terms of Pinghe primaryschool, leaders should pay more attention to wushu teaching and money investment; teachersshould continuously improve their teaching ability and research level. They also should maintainlove for Wushu; students not only train hard, but also enhance their study so that they would beinter-disciplinary talents.2. In terms of leadership, leaders should maintain their attention toWushu teaching in Pinghe primary in Jinzhou city. Relative policies should be enacted and money should be invested as aways. The special Wushu teaching method and mode should bepopularized in Jinzhou other middle and primary schools, even in others of Liaoning province.3.Other domestic middle and primary schools should be suggested to inspect, view and emulatefrom Pinghe primary school in Jinzhou. They should come to learn Wushu teaching means,methods and modes of Pinghe primary school in Jinzhou city and combined with their ownpractical situation, they should apply these above to their own Wushu teaching according to theirown situation.
