Herfeminist ideas and the representative book<The Second Sex> had a huge impact onFrench territory, also the entire world within the scope of the women’s movement.<The Second Sex> is called the encyclopedia for the entire female world. This bookhas the repute that it’s "the most perfect, the best, the most intelligent of an immortalmasterpiece" in the women issue domain and it’s the" Bible of feminism".Beauvoir’s feminist is called existentialism feminism. As Beauvoir’s lifelongcompanion, the famous French existentialist philosopher Jean-Paul Sartre’s philosophyhad a profound impact on the women thought. It’s the philosophy source forBeauvoir’s feminism. Sartre’s "Self-exist" thought was regarded as the incarnation ofthe male in the patriarchal society by Beauvoir. We can also observe that the concept ofBeauvoir’s "other" is deeply influenced by Sartre’s concepts of ’self’ and ’others’.Simone de Beauvoir regarded that the male was the main factor, the women in thestatus of "other". These are imposed on women by the patriarchal society. Women arein the status of "other " has many reasons. Sartre’s "existence precedes essence" wasdeveloped into the presence of women is to the nature of women by Simone deBeauvoir. Here, the essence is imposed on women by patriarchal society as "feminine".Sartre’s theory of freedom was referred as well.n <The Second Sex>, Simone de Beauvoir excavated the causes of the lost ofwomen status and explored a way to promote the status of Women. The concepts of"other" and "femininity" appeared in the text repeatedly. It is the most importantconcept in the book. Beauvoir described the inherent characteristics of women, such assexual cycle, poor physical, childbirth, breastfeeding which make " other" conceptbecome a possibility. Along with the development of history, because of the enhance ofproductive forces, the appearance of private ownership, the sacred status of women hadtotally collapsed replaced by a male-dominated patriarchy society. The establishmentof patriarchal caused the "other" status of women had been established. It is private ownership that made the women in the position of "other". Then, social systems andsocial customs asked for women to become "feminine" women which were expectedby men. They depend on men and have the social status gap between men. Afteranalyzing the causes of the "other" status of women,Beauvoir also explored a way outfor the women’s liberation. She pointed out that if women want to be liberated, nolonger in the status of "The Second Sex" and transfer from the concept of "other" in"The Second Sex", to "this", they have to get rid of the shackles of the so-called"feminine", get out of the family, attend the activities of social productive labor, andestablish the subjective consciousness.Simone de Beauvoir’s "The Second Sex" Since its inception, reprinted, either tothe West or the cause of China’s women have had a great impact. West Beauvoirpresence of feminism led to the second wave of the women’s movement, and based onher correct analysis and understanding of the root causes of gender struggle, her verycorrect and objective recommendations for the improvement of women’s statusenhance the social status of women in the West played the role of the booster; for ourpart,"The Second Sex" in China’s publishing of the road has not been successful, theincoming time is lagging behind, but as the second woman the founder of themovement, after the reform and opening up the country wide open, Beauvoir womenthought began to be feminists are favorable. As a socialist country, China’s guiding ideology of Marxism, occupy themainstream feminist ideas of Marx ’Feminist theory. Beauvoir affirmed the positivesignificance of the theory, its own national conditions, we need her theory in Marxwomen theoretical background to be examined, analyzed the pros and cons of theirtheory, so as to better serve her theory the construction of our gender relations services.Beauvoir’s feminism is her own experiences and her life product of the times, has somelimitations., Beauvoir simple men as exploiting class, is completely antagonisticclasses and women, Marx and Engels pointed out that women’s liberation, must beapproved by both men and women work efforts. Men’s liberation, women’s liberationand the liberation of all mankind can be simultaneous. Secondly, a high degree ofattention to women of the Marxist theory in the creation of history, to promote socialchange in the role of Simone de Beauvoir and I have neglected this point. She did notsee the positive role of women in social progress and historical development, moreattention to women’s oppression and bondage, rather than the achievements of women.18th Chinese Communist Party National Congress, proposed to build a harmonious socialist society. Harmony, nature also includes the harmony between thesexes, to achieve real equality between the sexes and harmony, we must fully developthe ability of men and women, to establish a mutual understanding, mutual help, mutual respect and harmonious society. Summarizes the pros and cons of de Beauvoir’sfeminist thought, for the basic task of the new era of China’s socialist construction andthe basic situation of China’s women’s issues, we can get the following revelation, thenew era of women want to get their own liberation efforts in three aspects, womenout of the home, freedom to participate in social productive labor; women activelyreceiving social transformation; liberate itself, to establish the main body awareness. The author believes that the new era of feminism or women’s movement is notsuppressed male, but are designed to promote gender harmony, equitable development, gender mutual promotion and common progress and create a perfect harmony ofhuman society.
