“The national training plan” is the first important project to carry out Outline of NationalMedium and Long-Term Educational Reform and Development2010-2020. It is a profoundchange in the field of education in the new age, and a significant step to change the backwardsituation of basic education in rural areas, and particularly one of the effective measures toachieve a better balance between urban and rural educational development. The study of theeffectiveness of normal university students’ post practice is deeply significant for thefurtherance of “the national training plan”.With normal university students taking part in the post practice in Baoding,administrators of normal universities and practice schools as the objects of research, thisthesis adopts the methods of survey, interview and literature to make survey and analysisrespectively. The causes of ineffectiveness of normal university students’ post practice isanalyzed in the following aspects. The students taking part in post practice lack the spirit ofdedication due to their lack of understanding of “the national training plan”; they are short ofteaching experience and specialist knowledge; they don’t know practice schools very well;pre-post training in normal universities is not organized very well; supervisors of normaluniversities don’t have the support system and evaluation system with the purpose ofimproving students’ teaching ability; the leaders and teaching staff of practice schools holdoutmoded educational ideas; instructors of practice schools lack sense of responsibility; theworking condition of practice schools is poor. Strategies to improve the effectiveness ofnormal university students’ post practice are analyzed in three aspects: normal universitystudents, normal universities and practice schools. First, normal university students shouldgain a full understanding of “the national training plan”, work hard to improve their ownteaching ability and specialist knowledge, actually work at practice schools to find out thefacts and take a positive attitude to post practice. Second, normal universities should makepre-post training more effective, carefully select supervisors for students taking part in postpractice, standardize education practice system, perfect the evaluation system of practice. Third, practice schools should change old ideas, assign teaching tasks reasonably, correct theattitude of instructors, improve working conditions.Full achievement of the effectiveness is the key to normal university students’ postpractice at present. Improving the effectiveness of normal university students’ post practiceby the above strategies can achieve the following purposes: strengthening the teaching staff atprimary and secondary schools, fostering students’ love of education cause, stimulating theirenthusiasm for serving basic education, strengthening the contact and cooperation of normaluniversities with rural primary and secondary schools, training both rural teachers and normaluniversity students. In one word, improving the effectiveness of post practice can ensure that“the national training plan” plays the role of “fuel in snowy weather” or “seeds in thirstyland”.
