Teacher training, as an important way to improve teacher quality and promote itsprofessional development, is a main subject in the field of education studies, whichhas attracted much attention from each government recent decades. China is a unifiedcountry with multiple ethnic minorities, so the education development in ethnic areasis basis for our national prosperity and flourishing. As regards the progress of ethniceducation, it is necessary to improve the quality of ethnic teachers, and training forthem also should not be ignored, because of the practical significance: stimulatingethnic economic and cultural development is beneficial to national stability andharmony. It is a significant challenge to teachers’ development that how we couldimplement teacher training effectively. Studies of teachers training will benefit forenhance teachers training effectiveness in ethnic areas.Based on personal experience, field research, questionnaire survey, observingand interview, the writer carried particular analysis statistics on statues of teachertraining for Chinese language key teachers in Dongxiang County, Gansu province,induct the existing problems and confusion for teacher training in ethnic areas, and inview of the main factors of training effectiveness, discussing the necessity to studyteacher training effectiveness in ethnic areas. And it is suggested that we should focuson specific training content, processed training methods and perfect guaranteemechanism, to enhance training effectiveness for primary school teachers in ethnicareas.This paper is divided four parts as following,I. Introduction. It illustrates the reasons, purposes and significance of theresearch, analyzes some teacher training-related notions, examines the problems ofdomestic and international research status, and makes out the research thoughts andapproaches.II. An Analysis on Present Situation. Based on arrangement and analysis ofquestionnaire and interviews, this section points out the problems in teacher trainingfor Chinese language teachers in Dongxiang county and puts forward the practicalsupport to improve and perfect the present situation.III. An Analysis of Factors Affecting the Effectiveness of Teacher Training. Thispart analyzes the factors affecting the effectiveness of training through the threeaspects including trainees and organizers, department of education and the schools the trainees belong to.IV. The Suggestions and Strategies to Improve the Effectiveness of TeacherTraining. Based on analysis of problems in teacher training for C hinese language keyteachers in Dongxiang County and its reason, it provides suggestion and solution todevelop and enhance effective teacher training. |
