| Leisure time is people’s free time used for personal development, culturalentertainment, recreation, social interaction and so on in addition to every dayworking and sleeping, eating, and household chores, etc. The leisure time of thestudents is abundant, but the understanding of the importance of leisure time isinsufficient. It is common that the students’ free time arrangement is not reasonableenough. The investigation and study on the spare time management of students,therefore, can provide us with more detailed understanding of students’ specificproblems that exist in the free time management. Wish this study can help studentsimprove the utilization rate of time to better the development of self and also give theschool some useful information for international students so that the school can bemore positive and effective in guiding the students’ leisure life, and promote foreignstudents to study and live better in China. By reference to relevant literature, thisstudy intends to find out the factors that influence the students’ spare timemanagement. A questionnaire on students’ leisure time management is worked out.The questionnaire survey was conducted through Central Asia students in XinjiangNormal University. The students problems in managing their spare time are mainlyas follows: the insufficient understanding of the importance of leisure; leisure timeplanning is not clear; leisure time priority arrangement is unreasonable; leisure timeplan implementation does not reach the designated position; individual behavior isunreasonable; the choice of leisure life is blind, etc. To strengthen the timemanagement of the students, I come up with the following suggestions: first of all,we should guide students to strengthen the self-management of their leisure time.Second, we should give full play to the advantages of teacher resources in XinjiangNormal University, strengthen the guidance and supervision of teachers and theschool in all aspects of the students’ concern. |
