In the past ten years, through mass enrollment expansion china’s higher education has come into the popular stage rapidly. However, the limited education resources not meet the growing number of students, and at the same time, the level of talents that colleges educate can’t adapt to the social demand. As many news reported, such as increasing employment pressure for college students and their wages inferior to migrant workers, people questioned the quality of higher education, and begin to consider what role the university plays in the growth of our students. With this background, this research takes1008college students of Guangxi University as the object, referring to Astin’s "I-E-O" model and Pascarella’s "change of the whole evaluation model", and discusses Guangxi University College environment and students’academic achievement, and analyzes their relation, in order to solve the "black box" system that university affects students’growth and puts forward some suggestions to improve College environment. This study includes four parts.The first part reviews the research production about College environment on undergraduate’s academic achievements at home and broad, and summarizes the shortcomings of existing research, so as to do the further study. Then this research states related concepts and theoretical basis, and presents the purpose, significance and research ideas.The second part proposes the hypothesis, the object and the data resource, and tests the reliability and validity of the questionnaire. The third part analyzes the college environment of Guangxi University, student achievement, student participation in the current situation and the causes through the data obtained from the questionnaire and interview. Then it uses SPSS17.0to analyze the impact of college environment of Guangxi University on college students’ academic achievement, and Intermediary role of students participate, and then verify the hypothesis that the second part presents. The results show:(1)college environment of Guangxi University impact on students’ academic achievement and dimensions.(2) There is a positive correlation between the college environment, students’ academic achievement and student participation.(3) student participation plays an intermediary role in the influence of college environment on students’ academic achievement.The last part summarizes the data analysis of the third part, and puts some suggestions for the teaching reform of Guangxi University.(1) we should construct the supporting college environment to promote positive interaction between students and the environment.(2) we should strengthen the construction of the second classroom to improve the richness and the effectiveness of student extracurricular learning.(3) we should reform the curriculum design and pay attention to students’ deep learning to make a progress for the quality of classroom teaching.
