As an enlightenment teaching of foreign language teaching in the primary school English teaching, which impact on learners’ learning and development in the future. In the English teaching of primary school, we need to pay special attention to listening and speaking training. Because the7-12years’ children in primary school who with curiosity, activity and prefer performance characteristics, and they own the superb imitate ability, memory ability, and image thinking. From these characteristics, we can conclude that we should proceed from listening and speaking, make the child imitate on the basis of listening, and then speak them out, so that express them fluently in the English learning process. However, in the actual teaching, most of students’ reading and writing ability better than listening and speaking ability. Some of parents and teachers always think that english studying is to remember english words and phrases, the key point fucus on reciting, understanding and remembering many kinds of grammar rules. Obviously, this is not in accord with the normal language learning rule, and it is one of the reasons that our country’s foreign language level is much less than the surrounding countries.Based on theory knowledge and the importance of the primary school English listening and speaking teaching, through the methods of classroom observation and interview, the author takes the S primary school in Shenzhen for example, researches the current English listening and speaking teaching situation of this primary school, summaries all kinds of listening and speaking problems in the current situation and analyses the specific example and interview content in the process of survey. On the basis of summary the factors of affect the primary school English listening and speaking teaching, the author put forward the strategies of improve English listening and speaking teaching in primary school.This thesis consists of five parts:the first chapter presents the the origin of research topic, research significance and research process; the second chapter presents primary school English listening and speaking teaching theory basis; the third chapter presents the current teaching situation and problem analysis of primary school English listening and speaking teaching in author’s practice school; the fourth chapter presents the factor analysis of influence primary school English listening and speaking teaching; The fifth chapter summarizes specific improvement strategies that improve English listening and speaking ability of the students in primary school.
