Since the reform and opening up, China's English education has been moving forward constantly and has made significant achievements. However, there is a certain gap between the current situation of English education and the new era development requirements. As the initial stage of English learning, primary school English education pays much attention to mechanized ways to train students to recite and remember knowledge rather than the inner understanding and external application due to the lack of the authentic language learning contexts, which leads to students' poor listening and speaking ability. With the rapid development of information technology and curriculum integration, the electronic schoolbag has become a powerful driving force for the education development and education reform. Considering electronic schoolbag abundant hardware and software functions, it can provide a student-oriented and situated language learning environment. However, due to the old teaching conception and method, the actual application hindered the full realization of the superiority of the media. Therefore, how to cultivate students' listening and speaking ability by digital way has become a major issue which the current education research and practice can't be ignored. In order to address this issue, this thesis designs a primary school English listening and speaking model based on electronic schoolbag by analyzing the problems of the current English listening and speaking instruction and summarizing the advantages of the electronic schoolbag, and through the quasi experimental research method, the effectiveness of the model has been verified, which can provide a reference for the further application and promotion of electronic schoolbag.In terms of organizational structure, this thesis can be divided into six chapters.Chapter 1:Introduction part. By analyzing the research background and the domestic and foreign literature of listening and speaking instruction in the information environment, this chapter puts forward the question and significance of the research, defines the key concepts related to the research.Chapter 2:Theoretical basis. This chapter presents the theoretical basis for English listening and speaking instruction:cone of learning theory, second language acquisition theory and situation cognition theory, which lay a sound theoretical foundation for the model construction.Chapter 3:Research design. This chapter puts forward research objectives and research contents, research ideas, research tools, research basis and support of this thesis.Chapter 4:Model design. By analyzing the learner and the learning materials, this chapter firstly adapts the method of induction and deduction to construct the model, secondly elaborates the construction process of primary school English listening and speaking model based on electronic schoolbag from five elements of the teaching model (theoretical basis, instructional objectives, operation procedure, realization condition and teaching evaluation), finally stresses the items during the model application.Chapter 5:Model application and effectiveness analysis. This chapter explains the preparation of the experiment. This chapter selects a lesson as an example to show how the model is applied to the practical instruction. Through a semester of teaching practice, the effectiveness of the model application is verified through the pre and post listening and speaking tests, combined with questionnaire and interview survey. The final experimental results showed that the application of the English listening and speaking model based on electronic schoolbag can improve students'listening ability and conversational ability.Chapter 6:Summary and outlook. This chapter summarizes and reflects the research achievements and existing problems during the research process, and proposes further research according to the shortcomings of the primary school English listening and speaking teaching model based on electronic schoolbag.
