Along with the intellectual economy development and the economy and the science and technology competition intensified on a global scale, the significance of education has been widely accepted as an indisputable fact, yet the key role of the success or failure of education is the teacher. Teachers professional development is the necessary choice for all teachers adapt to the needs of era development, promoting professional development of teachers has been one of the themes of teacher education research in the21st century. For individual teacher, the teachers professional development is not only a cognizance of professional qualification, or an understanding of teachers’ professional, but also a struggle process, and a conscientious pursuit of lifelong learning,continuous renewal and improvement.For this reason, After the training activities carried out by the school or the educational management, teachers should actively self-directed learning to make their own developing process continuously and complete. Especially in today’s high speed development of information technology and Internet, taking advantage of the network environment to study, ill make far more effective in the endeavor.Based on the research results of self-directed learning regard to teachers professional development in the domestic and overseas, he thesis focuses on the elementary school teachers in Fujian Province,using the questionnaire survey to investigate the status of self-directed learning in the network environment of these teachers, analyzing the existing problems and their causes, building teachers self-directed learning model in the network environment, and presenting the implementation and application countermeasures.
