Private colleges, which share the task of training our country’s high-level talents and technological innovation with the state ones, are an important component of Chinese higher education."A country is in the hope of its education, while its education is in the hope of the level of the teachers". So, if its universities wanna cultivate excellent talents and produce more original scientific research achievements, then the decisive factor is to build a team of high-quality teachers, In order to improve the school-running benefit of private colleges, teacher merit pay reform system has been worked out in recent years. The implementation of merit pay is mainly based on teachers’ performance evaluation, that is to say the process and the result of a teacher’s occupational behavior will directly affect his income distribution. Thus, it’s key and difficult for a private college to formulate scientific and reasonable performance evaluation system concerning teachers to improve teachers’ job performance.Based on the current situation of the teacher performance evaluation implementation in the private colleges in Jiangxi province, focused on the typical private college—Nanchang Institute of Science&Technology in Jiangxi province as a case study, my paper will analyze the current research situation and problems on the evaluation method, evaluation content and evaluation standard of the performance evaluation and so on in private colleges in Jiangxi province. Meanwhile, this paper is to explore and research the constitution of teachers’ performance evaluation system in Nanchang Institute of Science&Technology and the necessity and feasibility of using360degree performance evaluation method and comparison method in the teacher performance evaluation of private colleges, then comes to researching more efficient and practical performance evaluation methods. It aims to put forward the advices and suggestions for the performance evaluation.The main conclusions of this paper are:1, by reading the literature and a summary of previous experience of performance, performance evaluation, teacher performance evaluation, the concept of private college teachers performance evaluation of the carding and analysis system.2, through the investigation of private universities in Jiangxi Province, the understanding of the relevant data obtained from the empirical study basis, content and method, the performance of private college teacher evaluation of Jiangxi Province, the current standards and other aspects, analyzing the problems and reasons.3, with360degree performance evaluation method and comparison method to explore and result analysis in the implementation process of Jiangxi NCG college, puts forward corresponding countermeasures and suggestions.
