Life education is based on the characteristics of life and follows the principle of the development of life. It is based on the potential life characteristics of students. Through the excellent educational way, we can awaken the sense of life, enlighten the spiritual world, develop the potential life, improve the quality of life, pay attention to the development of whole life. Then the students can have vitality, they can have healthy personality and distinctive personality. And they can also grasp the activities of wisdom creation.We carry out the life education to the contemporary college students is inevitable to the development of modern society, the development of higher education with Chinese characteristics dictates and whole development of students. The contemporary college students face so many social reality, such as the development of economy,the reformation of political system,the increasing of competitive pressures.If the contemporary college students receive life education, they can improve their overall quality, establish the harmonious relationship of ourselves and others, society, nature and even the universe. The contemporary college students should understand the life exactly, love life, cherish life and correctly reflect the value and meaning of life. It has important and practical significance to the contemporary college students’ healthy and success.My thesis starts from the life and life education, then I analyse the reality of the current students’ life education, values, system construction and implement way. Firstly, according to the research background, my thesis puts forward the theoretical and practical significance, elaborates the general domestic and foreign research status and research methods. It is the premise of my paper; Secondly, my paper researches the characteristics of life education, points out the significance of the students’ life education and analyses the basis of life education through the history and fact. It is the theoretical basis of the my paper.In the end, the thesis researches the practice education of students. The college Students’ life education’s guiding ideology is the core value system of social democracy,it follows the development principle,it includes the life awareness education, sense of urgency education, harmonious awareness education,dedication awareness education,aesthetic education, mental health education and practical education. Above all,It is a whole education system. So college students should understand life, cherish life and promote the value of life. Finally our lives can reach harmony.
