| With the development of the practice of distance education in China, the theoryof distance education research and discipline construction rfuitful and significantprogress has been made. Regardless of the development of the discipline alwaysinseparable from scholars, academics is the main body of the development of thesubject, is a discipline of the soul, is the producer and creator of the academicachievements. Especially, key scholars of a field will affect the overall level ofdevelopment and the development trend. So we can put the key scholars of the fieldof distance education as an entry point to tease out the development of the ifeld ofdistance education in China course and overview of the research.In this study, we take critical scholars of distance education in Mainland Chinasince the reform and opening up as the starting point. Based on bibliometrics, socialnetwork theory, citation gauge theory and so on, this study takes the papers on theeight core journals published in the ifeld of distance education as its research objects,the study selects the list of key scholars combined with the number of the publishedliterature, the total paper cited rfequency, the average passage cited frequency andother traditional metrology indicators and the h index innovative metrologyindicators, and takes quantitative research methods to analyze characteristics of thekey scholars. The study selects the list of core scholars combined with Price core ofdistirbution and comprehensive evaluation indicators, and analysis of theirindividual characteirstics. And then, the study makes use of the content to generalizeand summairze critical scholars415key papers on research topics and researchmethods. At last, according to the characteirstics of the key scholars and the analysisof the key papers, the study could obtain present situation in research of distanceeducation in our country, find the insufficiency, and try to put forward somecountermeasures or Suggestions, so as to provide some references for the healthydevelopment of the distance education discipline.The study is divided into seven chapters.Chapter I IntroducitonOn the basis of the research background, it puts forward the research questionsand research signiifcance, and emphatically, it introduces the research methods ofthis paper, including: bibliometric method, citation analysis social network analysis and content analysis.Chapter II Literature review and the theoretical basisAround the paper research questions, it analysis systematically to literature onthe relevant domestic scholars research, and expounds the theoretical foundation ofthe paper: bibliometrics, social network theory and citation specification theory.Chapter III Concept of operationIt illustrates the core concept of the study: distance education, key scholar, coreperiodical, bibliometric indicator, social network analysis.Chapter IV Seleciton of key scholarsIt combines with traditional measurement index of bibliometrics and h index,through for statistical data derived rfom CNKI, and selects the key scholars sincereform and opening up in mainland China.Chapter V The key scholars analysisIt embarks from the key academic basic information and social networkanalysis first, in order to know the key scholars rfom overall group characteirstics.And then it combines the Price core of the law of distirbution and comprehensiveevaluation indicators to select the scholars of the core of the Mainland of China, andanalysis of the individual on basic information, research continuity and researchfeatures to draw the highlight individual characteirstics about distance educationdisciplines.Chapter VI Key papers analysisIt carires out detailed classification and analysis on research topics and researchmethods of74key scholars’415key papers with content analysis.Chapter VII Research overview and relfectionAccording to the characteristics analysis results of key scholars and their keypapers, it outlines the development form of distance education. At ifrst, it combs thedistance education research context rfom the media technology, policies andregulations, learning theory,respectively. And then it summairzes the research statusquo of distance education rfom the aspects of discipline construction, research topicand research method,and finally for relfection, it finds shortages in the study ofdistance education, and try to put forward the corresponding countermeasures.ConclusionIt summarizes the main conclusions and improvement required of this study. |
