With the rapid development of economic transformation, the employment rate of vocational school graduates increased as enterprises expanded the amount of labor employed. At the same time, the employer points out that the employability demonstrated by vocational school graduates do not match the requirements of their enterprise, which has become one of the bottlenecks restricting the vocational school graduates employment. In addition to low stability and poor quality in employment and other reasons, the study of vocational school graduates employability seems necessary. Based on the above background information, this paper conducted a questionnaire survey to some vocational school graduates and enterprises, taking Nanning, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region as an example, to learn about the current situation of the vocational school graduates employability. On the basis of the analysis of the questionnaire results, countermeasures are put forward to cultivate the employability of the vocational school graduates.The definition of employability adopted in this paper is in line with the view of International Labor Organization (ILO):Employability refers to the ability for a worker to obtain and maintain a job, to make progress in the job, and to respond flexibly to any changes occurred. Furthermore, this paper defines five aspects of vocational school graduates employability based on the literature review (including work attitude, work ability, professional ability, adaptability, ability to get employed). Structure of the employability is finally determined through the Delphi method, based on which "current situation of vocational school graduates employability questionnaire (preliminary)" was drawn up and a revised questionnaire according to the results will become the formal one. Adopting SPSS19.0as the analysis method,4vocational schools and some enterprises in Nanning were chosen to hand out the questionnaires, whose results will be used to analyze the evaluation of their own employability from vocational school graduates and from employers, the correlation between five aspects of employability, any differences in employability and each aspect ability different backgrounds, disparities in students’self-evaluation and the evaluation by the employer.Four conclusions are made by this study:1. Disparities exist in self-evaluation of vocational school graduates.2. Significant correlation exists between vocational school graduates employability and each aspect ability.3. Large difference exists in the employability of vocational school graduates with different backgrounds.4. Disparities exist in vocational school graduates’self-evaluation and the evaluation by the employer.
