Today the new curriculum reform of our country requires that the design and implementof history curriculum should in favor of changing students’ learning style.In the same time,itadvocates students to learn actively and promotes their initiative and participation,cultivatestheir ability and scientific attitudes towards research in history,promotes their creativity andability in practice.Requires that the design and implement of history curriculum should infavour of updating teachers’ teaching philosophy and methods.The method of historical comparison plays an important role in developing students’enthusiasm and initiative on study.It can provide a choice space which is diverse and multipleperspected to students.It’s also an effective way that to carry out patriotic education, developstudents’ thinking ability and cultivate students’ scientific world outlook, values.At the sametime,this method will contribute to enrich teachers’ teaching methods, change their concept ofteaching, improve their level of teaching and skills.This paper analyzes the combination of historical comparison method and the highschool history teaching, the historical comparative method is applied to six types of historyteaching in high school, disscuses on the advantages and disadvantages of the various types.In the history teaching of senior high school, comparison methods can be divided into sixtypes, horizontal comparison method, longitudinal comparison method, macro comparisonmethod, microscopic comparison method, same comparison method, difference comparisonmethod. These six types have different characteristics and function. They are strong pillars oflearning in high school history course. Study the types of comparison methods in historyteaching in senior high school can make the range of different types clear, Improve useefficiency in practical teaching.Then the historical comparison method will serve the highschool history classroom better and better.
