Education plays an unusual role for the social development of any era. Teachers as theimplementer of education, plays an irreplaceable role for the optimization of education.Therefore, as a qualified teacher, you should continue to improve yourself by learningknowledge, especially knowledge related to professional. Currently, teachers can learnthrough many ways and methods, we do not deny that these ways and methods have beenpromoting teachers’ learning and improvement. However, with the advancement oftechnology and the development of social, teachers’ learning methods are also changing. Weshould make full use of existing technology to support teachers’ learning better.In addition, to become a qualified teacher of the new era, it is necessary to combineinformation technology with education. This requires that teachers have an open mind andcourage, the courage to learn from others, and the courage to accept new things and make useof them, must not rest on our laurels. Construction of Faculty Learning Community can helpteachers to cooperation and exchange ideas through the network platform, breaking downsilos between teachers and help teachers to learn more effectively. With the rapid developmentand the increasing popularity of network technology, learning platform for faculty learningcommunity based on social network service will become the ideal learning platform forteachers’ personal knowledge construction and development. Therefore, this paper mainlydiscusses the use of Social Network Services (SNS) to support the Faculty LearningCommunity., which is very popular at present and put the interaction, sharing andcollaboration concepts as its tenet.First, we analyzed the domestic and international research, and summarized.Second, combing the concept of Faculty Learning Community based on Network andanalysis of its meaning and theoretical foundation, in reference to the definition of FacultyLearning Community based on Network of domestic and foreign scholars, the author definedthe meaning of the Faculty Learning Community based on Social Network Services (SNS).Third, the author also carried on a preliminary investigation through interviews,questionnaires, etc. to learn the learning status quo of part of teachers. Then dissected theexist problems based on the results of surveys and interviews, conducted the actual learningneeds of teachers in-depth; and analysis the characteristics of teachers learning and teacherslearning in the Learning Community, and eventually come to the significance of SNS for theFaculty Learning Community.Fourth, the article further study and learn from the typical model of online learning community at home and abroad and constructed a preliminary model of Faculty LearningCommunity based on SNS.Fifth, design each functional module according to the model, based on this, andconstructed a proto platform. Then select a part of teachers to use it to learning, in order toverify the effectiveness of the platform. Then analysis and summary based on the preliminaryresults.Finally, a summary of this research work, pointed out the deficiencies in the study andfurther work.
