The Study Of Constructing Faculty Learning Community Based On The Network Environment In Universities

In recent years, web course is becoming more and more important in higher education. It's tough challenge to high school teaching how to improve the corporation and learning between teachers. This thesis does basic research on Faculty Learning Community Based on the Network Environment (FLCBNE) with previous theory, cases studies and personal practices.This research studies FLCBNE from both foreign cases and domestic cases. It not only did research on FLCBNE in Miami University and FLCBNE of Tapped In, but also summarized the learning from domestic practice, Interscholastic Alignment, a FLCBNE set up by Nanjing University. This paper studies the factors, execution phases and knowledge management strategy of FLCBNE. The research method includes literature research, case study, survey and interview.The conclusion is that it needs integrated solution from component elements, execution phases and knowledge management strategy to establish a FLCBNE. Component elements are the skeleton of a FLCBNE, execution phases are its growth process, and the strategy of knowledge management determines its growth and development direction. Firstly, from the perspective of 4W1H (why, where, who, what, how), FLCBNE consist of 5 key elements, Common Envision, Network Environment, Members, Activities and systems. Secondly, the execution can be divided into four phases-start-up, adaptation, execution and sum-up. It shares related tasks and strategy for reference in each phase. Last but not the least important, it's feasible to implement the strategy of knowledge management in FLCBNE. It includes setting up learning community with horizontal linkage, establishing knowledge management process with hyper cycle, building synergic knowledge management environment with advanced technology.
