Since the optional course entered the family of a high school Chinese textbook,series of Language Application appeared to the ifeld of view of the students andteachers. However, Language Application has not been taken seriously enough; manyproblems can be found in the textbook. In order to make the Language Application beused in teaching fully, this paper aiming for a more complete and comprehensivestudy on the teaching method and strategy of Language Application.This research is divided into three sections.The ifrst part is an introduction. It is about the main phase of this researchbackground, signiifcance, and the difference or development from the currentresearches that have already exacted.The second part is the main part of this paper and will divide into four chapters:The ifrst chapter is research on the teaching value of Language Applicationmainly from the value of the candidate, the application value, cultural value, whichprovide the theory foundation of this optional course.The second chapter is the comprehensive understanding of the LanguageApplication. Beginning from the parts in the textbook as "introduction","classroomactivities","toolbox","small test their skills",then analysis the content of the bookfrom three aspects: interesting, basic, practical.This chapter also prepared for thefollowing chapters.The third chapter discussed the current using situation of the textbook LanguageApplication, by the method of informal interview. And the study found, there are sixproblems in teaching practice, they are: faultage in language knowledge; none distinctdifference in required and elective course; content of courses is partial to text;students are lack of correct cognition; class teaching is lack of interaction; andteaching method is repetitive.The last chapter is the core section of this article. It’s mainly study on the teachingprinciples, teaching methods and strategies, and learning method of LanguageApplication. Firstly, summed up the principle of "convergence of knowledge,mastery" and "appropriate levels of detail, and encounter’V’ Contact life with theability"",stimulate interest, active learning"", conscious problems, stimulatethinking"", learning and practicing combined,consolidaitng and improving" all ifthese principles should be used in teaching; Secondly summarized the teaching skillof’’knowledge,dialogue, situation, inquiry and activities",hope to contribute to theteaching of Language Application.The third part is the conclusion. It is a summary of the full study.
