Secondary language education is to train students to be fascinated by the unknown world, develop their ample imagination, inspire their enthusiasm for exploration, arouse their passion for literature, understand the joy of life and the value of life, foster their rich sense of language, and excite their creativity of reading.Ancient Chinese novels are the symbol of human civilization fruits.And they bear eternal art charm and strong humanities education function. To set up optional language courses of reading selectedly ancient Chinese novels for students is of a great significance of assimilating the soul of the history and the culture,fostering students"healthy personality, enhancing cultural tastes, improving students aesthetic ability, appreciation capability, and deepening the understanding and awareness of major issues of nation and state.The thesis is divided into four parts.The first part is the analysis of the necessity of setting up optional language courses of reading selectedly ancient Chinese novels in senior high school .There are two aspects in this part including the meaning and characteristics of ancient Chinese novels, as well as the significance of opening the optional courses in reading selectedly ancient Chinese novels. As the ancient Chinese novels is an important part of ancient Chinese literary, also is an important carrier of Chinese traditional culture. The creation of ancient Chinese novels optional courses can forward Chinese traditional culture, make people feel the art charm, enhance the aesthetic realm, pursue noble sentiment, and improve taste of life .The second part is an overview of optional courses on readings selectedly ancient Chinese novels. This chapter respectively introduces five contents such as the textbook, teaching philosophy, teaching objectives, scheduling, evaluation mode of the curriculum. The third part is the analysis of the teaching methods of optional language courses of reading selectedly ancient Chinese novels in senior high school. Based on the requirements of the optional module "Fiction and Drama" series in "Senior high school Language Curriculum Standards (Experiment)", and due to the teaching situation in ancient Chinese novels, this chapter probes into the effective teaching methods. For example, firstly,the integrated teaching approach breaks inherent concept that a lesson should be talked about every one time, integrates within the unit or re-integrates different units, so that students understand different perspectives and levels of learning objects. Secondly, the teaching approach is to strengthen reading aloud to experience and feel the beauty in reading. Thirdly, we can adopt the traditional comments methods to enable students to dialogue with the text in depth, and to obtain a unique reading experience. Fouthly, by comparing research approach, it can inspire students thinking and stimulate students interest in learning and sense of exploration. At last,we can try writing pedagogy to write out students"unique experience and novel insights.The fourth part is teaching reflection. Mainly discussed from four aspects: one is to clarify elective students though more be dedicated to selectively learning, promote the students have personality development, but also cannot ignore the basic; Two is the language classroom should pay attention to the humanities education; Three is the student should attach importance to the reading; Four is clarify language teachers should be course synchronized development, should enhance their professional quality, enhance the course construction consciousness, establish consciousness of lifelong learning.According to the basis of previous studies, by my own teaching practice, I have analysed the problems encountered in teaching optional courses, summed up scientific and effective teaching methods to make contribution to teaching optional language courses of reading selectedly ancient Chinese novels for students, and promote the development of senior high school language optional courses.
