Academic assessment refers to the process that based on the national instructional objectives, using the appropriate means and tool to collect student’s information of individual learning progress and changing extent after a period of study systematically and making a judgment of student’s level of knowledge, ability and passion attitude values. The current study on academic assessment has become a hot topic in China education evaluation area, but no specifically research on junior high school students’biology assessment. Review of existing research r, the research Angle on the stage of elementary school and the major of mathematics, Chinese etc, and oversight research of junior high school students’ evaluation and the minor of biology etc. This respect lacks of directional empirical research results and related theory.This study borrow ideas from theoretical Research Results of academic assessment in pedagogy and education evaluation and unifies the related material and existing research results to design an biology academic assessment system of junior high school students. By means of an empirical research to evaluate Liaoning province junior high school students’ biological Academic achievement level since the new curriculum reform, especially since 《Outline of National Plan for Medium and Long-Term Education Reform and Development (2010-2020)》 published, therewith found problems in junior high school biology evaluation and education today. and put forward effective measures, make a suggestion on how to improve junior high school students’ biological Academic achievement level in Liaoning province.Combining quantitative method and qualitative method in the study. Using literature research, interview method to establish biological academic assessment system of junior high school students and using examination paper test, structure observation, questionnaire to do empirical research on biological academic assessment. Also through empirical interviews with teachers and students to make an in-depth exploration and cause analysis with respect to the assessment of present situation. Among them, using random sampling method on the empirical research, the respondents come from Liaoning province, including Dalian, Shenyang, Dandong, Huludao.The research is divided into four parts, including establish the junior high school students’ biological academic assessment system, make knowledge examination paper、design ability observation charts、 compile passion attitude and values questionnaires, make empirical evaluation studies on biological Academic achievement of junior high school students in Liaoning province, Put forward ideas and Suggestions to improve academic achievement level of junior high school students in Liaoning province. Synthesizing the results of this study, the conclusions are as follows:1Junior high school students’ biology academic assessment system is a multi-level biological system, mainly including knowledge (basic knowledge and applied knowledge), ability and method (thinking method, experimental operation ability, scientific inquiry ability) and passion attitude and values (interest, scientific attitude and world view, consciousness and sense of responsibility) three levels.2Junior high school students’ biological academic achievement in Liaoning province stands on medium level, and has certain disparity with optimum level. Performance in three dimensions is unbalanced, the level of ability and method is lowest.3There’s a gap on Junior high school students’ biological Academic achievement level between town and country, the rural areas is lower than the level of urban areas, and this gap mainly embodies in the dimension of knowledge and ability method.4Junior high school students’ biological Academic achievement level has certain disparity between schools, ordinary school is lower than key school, and the gap are reflected in all the three dimensions:knowledge, ability and method, passion attitude values.Through the above empirical research, this dissertation put forward the following Suggestions on how to improve Junior high school students’ biological Academic achievement level of Liaoning province and shorten the gap between urban and rural, the schools:(1) Improve the evaluation mode.(2) The government allocates education resources reasonably.
