Cardiac reserve, the increasing ability of hearts, is the potentiality of hearts. Itscapacity can be judged by the changing trend of cardiac contractility and heart rate trend, and can decide whether one has the ability to shoulder severe illness, fever, anesthesia, surgical operation, physical activities, childbirth, activities on highland, laborious dailyactivities, etc. The test on cardiac reserve can let common people and patientsunderstand those concrete and minute harm or negative effects on cardiac condition asthe consequence of various diseases and stress situations, and thus can provide moreevidences for the protection of hearts. Cardiac reserve is the essential index for theevaluation of cardiac function of common people and patients. The method of dailyevaluation of athletes’ cardiac function is based on heart rate index. Human movementscience, just as medicine, has also adopted various testing and evaluation methods oncardiac function. Research group has noticed that special attention has been paid toheart rate reserve. Up to now, the group has failed to find an easy, quick, cheap andnon-traumatic method which can reflect objectively and quantitatively cardiac reserveand can monitor cardiac capacity on the sport fields. In order to acquire the relatedinformation of cardiac reserves of persons engaged in physical trainings through thenon-traumatic, simple, fast, easy and pervasive method, the author has made acomparative research on the changing trend of cardiac contractility and heart rates basedon11national excellent athletes,10second-level athletes, and63non-athletes. It will bedivided into three groups to have PCG exercise tests respectively which were completedat rest and exercise in four different heart sounds and collected immediately afterexercise signal, the subjects were observed heart rates, D/S ratio trends. The heart ratesin the three groups are increased with an increase in physical activity showing anincreasing trend, which indicate that the movement is mainly utilized lower heart ratereserve, and the lower the activity level is. In the course of the campaign it will be moredependent on the use of the body’s heart rate reserve; During the whole exercise theincrease in the D/S ratio of subjects from three groups is showing a downward trendwith an in physical activity, which indicates that an increase in exercise intensity willresult in an decrease in diastolic heart and the time of their blood supply to the heartitself. It is a performance of increasing burden and an increase in cardiac function. Thelower the level of people move, the sooner the cardiac blood will appear significantly shorter time. Through the changes of cardiac reserves of various-level athletes, theresearch on cardiac reserves will bring benefits not only to the selection and training ofathletes and competition arrangement, to the measurement of cardiac function ofhigh-intensity operational persons such as firefighters and military operators, but also tothe evaluation of cardiac function of patients and common people.
