| We are in an era of “The Extensive Readingâ€. In April of last year, The ChineseAcademy of Press and Publication announced the Ninth times data of the NationalReading Survey before the17th World Reading Day came, which displays that ournational comprehensive reading rate was increasing in recent four years. Minors underthe age of17reading rate was83.1%which has a slight increase over the last year, andeach index was obviously higher than that of adults. Through the survey, we can see thatthe national awareness of the importance of reading gets improved and the concept of“The Extensive Reading†has been deeply rooted in the hearts of the people. The middleschool students are in the physical and mental development of adolescence whose thirstyand curiosity for knowledge are strong, and just reading in the class can not satisfy them,so they are eager to get into the vast sea of extracurricular reading books. This benefitsfor them undoubtedly, because the reading ability has become an important symbol ofstudents’ ability in Chinese learning and it plays an important role in improving theoverall quality, the spirit of students, which also can form a healthy personality ofstudents. Meanwhile, as for middle school students, the extracurricular reading also has agreat influence on their ability of language and speech, behavior, mind quality, worldoutlook, the outlook on life and values formation. We should focus on the negativeinfluence on middle school students that the extracurricular reading may bring. Toimprove middle school students’ extracurricular reading in the reading culturebackground is necessary, and it can also protect the healthy growth of middle schoolstudents. This paper mainly studies on how to strengthen the guidance of the middle schoolstudents’ extracurricular reading. And it Analyses the present condition of the students’extracurricular reading, problems and reasons existing in extracurricular reading and thenmainly on the strategies of guidance on extracurricular reading. Finally, the deep thinkingand feasible Suggestions are proposed. This paper is divided into three parts: in the firstpart, it defines the related concepts, and analyses the present situation of extracurricularreading guide on the middle school students at home and abroad, then the importance ofthis kind of guidance is emphasized; In the second part, it attempts to explore theproblems of the guidance on the middle school students reading to solve the problembetter; In the third part, the deep thinking and feasibility advice are advocated to solvethe problems and strengthen the guidance on middle school students extracurricularreading. |
